Rotschwert - V1.1 Changelog


Rotschwert V1.1 is now out both on Itchio and Steam. Please enjoy~

This post will highlight some of the more noteworthy changes:

New:

  • Segment Select "AlterEgo" is now available
  • Given a purpose to an obscure, abandoned space

Stage changes:

  • Segment 1 - orbital +drones section redesigned - bigger drones die instantly when the smaller ones are destroyed, releasing a "bonus" wave afterwards
  • Segment 1  - extended the mini-tutorial at the start of Relaxed Reverie to give new players more time to adjust
  • Segment 2 - redesigned most of the later patterns
  • Segment 3 - adjusted reflector enemy spawns to prevent unfair damage
  • Segment 4 - sword-wielding enemies' shields are now breakable, making their sections easier to chain
  • Segment ??? - adjusted patterns and bullet visuals to add more variety and make them more readable
  • ????????????? - completely redesigned

General:

  • Adjustments to enemy sprites, as well as acceleration, backgrounds, and particle effect visuals
  • DirectX related updates - this should fix various graphical glitches with AMD GPUs
  • Performance improvements - framerates should be higher, especially on weaker machines
  • Text, grammar, font and story corrections
  • A bunch of small, meaninglessly meaningful things with meaningfully meaningless conditions
